Triglav National Park

Triglav National Park covers almost all of Slovenia's Julian Alps — and its best corners are rarely the ones on postcards. I build your day around Bohinj, Vintgar Gorge, the Pokljuka plateau and the high pastures, at your pace.

Alpine peaks and a glacial lake in Triglav National Park, Slovenia

What we see

  • Lake Bohinj and the Savica waterfall
  • Vintgar Gorge along the Radovna river
  • Panoramic stops on the Pokljuka plateau
  • Alpine dairy farms and local cheese
  • Easy walks or a more demanding hike on request

How the day works

A morning departure, a circular route through the park with viewpoints, walks and photo stops, lunch on a mountain pasture or in Bohinj, and an afternoon return. Usually 8–10 hours.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants to see the 'real' alpine Slovenia — families, couples and photographers. I adapt the pace and difficulty to the group.

Combine it

It pairs beautifully with Bled as a two-day alpine programme, or with the Soča Valley over the Vršič pass.
